Photographer’s Note

Antiquated bins, once used by farmers for storing grain, dot the fields of the Mississippi Delta like a kind of monolith. They are some of my favorite features of the lanscape. In the summer, many of them will be overgrown with leafy vines.
This one is situated just next to the road in a field made almost impassibly muddy by december rains.

More modern, and much, much larger, present day counterparts are used these days by farmers growing corn, wheat, mylo and soybeans.
