The Potomac River at the start of fall, early in the morning - if you look at this for a little while, it looks like a fir tree seen sideways.

Stunning shot. I can see what you mean about the fir tree. I wonder if it would look better without the branch in the foreground on the left hand side. I can't decide. In some ways it adds something, in other ways it could be nice to keep it very simple.

Very good shot Alan, good perspective, and good colours. Near perfect reflection. Sky is just a little bright maybe? Still, well done

Hi Alan,
As soon as I saw this, something told me that this was close to home. I have to say that the colors are nice and the reflection of the trees in the water is quite nice as well, but to me it lacks a point of focus, in that my eyes want to wander seeking a point to focus on.
