Photographer’s Note
It always interests me how different people bide their time when they are waiting for something. These three women were waiting to cross the street during rush hour in Bethesda this evening:
• the lady with the backpack has her eyes on the prize; ready for the light to indicate she can get on with her life.
• The woman in the middle is looking off into space, perhaps thinking about the day's events, or what she is going to have for dinner.
• The girl in the BG is completely ambivalent, picking her nails without a care in the world.

I liked how the sun behind them cast a glow around their heads (which is what made me grab my camera in the first place) but then I saw that there are stories behind each of them...
