Veteran's Memorial Bridge, Baltimore Photo

Photographer’s Note

This Bride was formerly known as the Hanover Street Bridge, but now dedicated to Veterans. It connects the Inner Harbor area to the south-west shores of the bay.

I work across from there and upon leaving work the other day, noticed the light being quite good as the sun was setting, and took several photos.

The colors are real, not much modification, unsharpen mask and resizing applied in GIMP.

Nice compo, especially with the quiet seagull in first plane. Maybe it would be even more effective if the first pole were cut out.

This would have a perfect image for today dedicating to the men and women who served our country. I'm glade I click on it. Beautiful warm tone of the sunset, it sure deserved much more attention and praise. Beautiful composition. The inclusion of the gull and posts in the foreground add great depth to this image. Thanks so much for sharing.

P.s. Yes, you should stop by Waterton lake if you're ever go up that way. It's absolutely worth it. the weather started to turn when I was there and I had to head south before it get dark. I wish I had more time there.

Hello NB

I like this shot, and am a little bit intrigued by Baltimore due to a couple of things (as a Brit). Homicide . . Life on the street (TV) and Counting Crows . . Raining in Baltimore. Not important I know but interesting to know.

I can see why you took this one, lovely colour and a good composition.
