Photographer’s Note

There is this big green hill that one can glimpse from the highway driving into the city over by North Roland Park. It belongs to a Retirement home for Josephite priests called St. Joseph's manor. I have had the greatest impulse to go to the top that hill and look towards the highway one day, and last Sunday evening as the sun was setting, that is just what I did. It doesn't look quite as round and smooth like the teletubbie hill when you are at the bottom of it as it does from the highway.

Teletubbies was a show my daughter watched on TV. At the beginning there was a silly song and teletubbies danced on a round green hill. So I always called this the teletubby hill.

Hi NB,

it trully reminds the teletubies world. You chose the perfect time of the day for shooting. The light comes soft and horizontaly, creating long shadows and illuminating the house in a nice way. The plain blue sky contrasts well with the green land. Composition was well executed...the elements in their right place in the frame. Well done!

I like the wonderful setting also a wonderful interplay with light and shadows
I like good work and very important representation.
Nice rural picture, quiet and plesant for look it.

Hi NB,
The teletubbie Hill is found bathed in glorious late day light that renders tranquil shadows to the foreground and all the way up the hill.
The green hill and pastel sky make a brilliant color contrast.

Often this motifs with simple details and openness can result in an attractive setting. Just like here naznaz where you also had some good light to add good effects to the setting.

Hello NB,

This is indeed an idyllic site for Teletubbies, smooth undulating plains and hills, soft shadows. Just 5-6 years ago, it seems, I had to discuss Dipsy, Laa-Laa, Po, and Tinky Winky with my little grandchildren. I wish I had seen this lovely shot to show them such areas exist.
