Photographer’s Note

this is a nocturnal shot of USS constellation, the last of all-sail warships designed by the US navy, back in 1853. It's 186 feet in length, and it could carry 20 naval officers, 220 sailors and 45 marines. After about a century of being in commisson, it finally retired in Baltimore in 1955. NIce night shot.Good clarity and lighting.Did you shake the rope in the foreground? : )
Well maybe not but theres a small blur on them.It is the wind I think.

I like this photo, I used to sail tallships so I guess they are a part of me as I again want to be a part of their crew...

I like the details, the ropes in the forground are a nice detail. I like the composition and detail you have captured in this photo.

Your note reminds me of an old sea shanty: "We're bound for Baltimore..."

Hi Behrang. You know I just went down to DC last week and took a bunch of night shots of the monuments but I never thought to do this in the Inner Harbor. That's a big ship and you need as much wide angle as possible. You might be able to increase the sharpness. I'm looking forward to the rest of your Baltimore shots!

Superb lighting and exposure level in this night shot. I like the clarity of the ship details, as one can even discern the fine ribbing of the hull. The reflections and sky colour really enhance. A very impressive shot.
