Maryland Monument
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Throughout the Antietam Battlefield there are monuments dedicated to individual soldiers, brigades & companies, and states who participated in the battle.
This is the Maryland Monument, which honors those soldiers from the state of Maryland who fought at Antietam. It is the only monument at Antietam that pays tribute to soldiers who fought on both sides of the American Civil War. |

It looks very alone out there this monument, but reading your notes makes it better to understand such a placment. You choosed a good low pov here linda and also a fine detail to have included the lone runner there. Good work

Hi Linda,
interesting a place and good note. I like the autumn colours, nice sky also. Well done.
Rgs, Aleksander
The autumn colors in this one are beautiful, Linda, and you made a good use of the trees to frame the monument in the back. The runner is well included for a lively and colorful detail. In hindsight it might have been good to use a smaller aperture to boost the DOF just a little. Pleasant photo.
