Summer has really flown by - it's been over a month since my last TE post! But of course now the school year is starting up again, which means I'm around more and will start up the posting again... Looking forward to catching up with everyone and seeing some of the shots that have been put up since my last post.
This shot is taken from almost the exact same spot as my previous one, but turned in the other direction, following the jogger down the pier in Annapolis, MD in the early morning.

Hi Andrew, How great you have found time to post here again. Summer comes to the end and very soon there will be a lot of golden leaves on every page of TE.
fantastic perspective. Isn't it great with the big format? very nice picture.

Nice to see you back! Great perspective shot with the added interest of the jogger in the distance to take your eye.
Just as your teaching starts winding up my teaching starts winding down... I work on a different semester system my workload gets less in October and cranks up through the gears from February - which is no good because (generally speaking) it's winter and there is little light around between Oct and Feb! Looks like I might have to make another trip to a warmer country!

A lovely crisp shot with realistic colours and a super perspective. The jogger fills some space on the board walk very well - a nicely balanced composition.
Kind Regards, Ann

Welcome back. I hope all is well with the baby (and the rest of the family). This photo has lovely light and colors. I can imagine the crisp, fresh air of early morning. The wooden poles provide very good depth and the jogger is an essential part of the composition. I can't imagine she got in there by accident.

a shot full of symmetry and wonderfully enticing lines. A lesson in composition and executed superbly. Creative and original imagery, very effective.

Hello Andrew - Nice to see you back and I trust you had a good summer break and are ready for the new school year and whatever it throws at you. This looks like a great place for a jog; fresh air and attractive views it has to be better than a treadmill! Good strong compositional lines and nicely managed colour here and of course the jogger adds the human interest. Warm regards rosemary

nice the view of the place with the wooden pier with the jokker to makes the image even more effective. The poles slips add depth in the scene as perspective too.Excellent the light and the colour management of the image.

Good to see your post! Nice shot too, a perfect sensation of depth with the pier leading off into the distance, and the horizontal poles in the water compliment the vertical lines nicely. The Slip 4 sign is perfect in your composition, like an announcement to the scene we see!
Have a good evening.

There's a tremendous depth and great dof achieved with its diagonal lines recede smoothly into the distance in a quite morning by the pier, a shot very much benefited from sublime golden light which is always clean and fresh while the jogger and the bold sign pull the eyes to meander around. It's a pleasant enough scene taken from the best viewpoint, well coloured, contrast and as usual your handling of light is always second to none. The feel is thoroughly peaceful, Congrats, TFS

Guess I'm a bit behind myself, I'm just now seeing this new post!? :) I might be one of the few looking forward to the end of summer, I'm ready for the heat to be over and done with...it gets old really fast here in PHX! Really well done here, this composition plays right into the strong convergence of lines, taking us right into the image and down the boardwalk.
I like too that you included the jogger, adding that human touch and sense of movement to the scene, contrasting well against the calm waters. Great, soft light to accompany this shot and help add to the warm and pleasing atmosphere. Glad to have you back in the fold. :) Take care.

Well we all need to recharge our batteries. I don't know about you, but I have to take time out from TE once in a while, or I get bored, stale. This is a very pleasant, peaceful scene, which reminds me a bit of where I keep my boat. For some reason the "Slip 4" notice seems important visually...
