The intersection of St Peter and Chartres in the heart of the French Quarter of New Orleans. The French Quarter is a place focused on the overrun tourist area of Bourbon Street these days, but wander a few streets out from the epicenter of debauchery and you'll find an incredible neighborhood that's withstood the test of time, not to mention multiple hurricanes. This intersection, at the corner of Jackson Square and St Louis Cathedral is where the French Quarter gets it's image. Hang around the area and listen to street Jazz, watch performers, and enjoy a part of America that has stayed in the past (in all the right ways).
