We were so suprised and devastated when we visited New Orleans last year. Unimaginable that this is taken almost a year after without having seen the damage to the whole city yourself....
Live in peace with nature and do your little part for it... It's a fact no one can repress!

Jan, your pic certainly speaks of the desolation of some areas of the city. One of the things I have been struck by is not so much the damage that occured, or the lenght of time for the recovery to occur, but also how much some of the area resemble the blight that exhisted even prior to the storm. Your picture with the debris piled high, is reminiscentof some areas I had previously seen, minuse the spray painted sign I remember from my visit years ago.

This photo captures the personal loss of Katrina. It is a all too sad photo of history. Very well composed!

Hallo Jan, gute idea diese Photo zu schiessen aber die Einrahmung ist eng, zu knap.
I like the homorous view very much.
