Mississippi river passing through Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Mississippi river is the largest and the longest river in north America. It starts at Lake Itasca in the Minnesota North Woods, passes through mid continental U.S. and flows into the Gulf of Mexico. Mississippi river is the 3rd among the world's longest rivers.

Very nice blue sky, Behrang. Good composition. In the 80 's there was a band called Baton Rouge, they played a sort of hard new-wave.

Hi Behrang, Here you are having fun on Mississipi river. I like the curved river band in the foreground; blue sky in the background. Although the water is not very clean, it reflects the blue sky well. A well taken photo. Have fun in the other LA :D

Hi Behrang. I love the wide-angle you employed here. It was a good idea to put the horizon so low so we can see the cumulus clouds. You were fortunate to not have a super muddy Mississippi River. I stayed in Baton Rouge about a week back in 2000 and didn't have a clue the Mississippi River went through it! But I just checked the map and it does! Ooops. Thanks for sharing and teaching me something!

Hi Behrang, you gave the Mississippi a majestik sky in this capture....and it's very fitting for this this river scene with the Baton Rouge sky line and the traditinal looking riverboat. A very enjoyable photo, good job!

Beautiful picture of Mississippi River. I Had read stories about it written by a famous American writter when I was a mall boy. I see no flaw in the picture. Everything seems perfect except that the sky incuded more than the river. In my view it would be better to show more of the river than the sky. Please post more of them.
