Photographer’s Note
This is a REALLY old shot. Well, as far as my digital ones go. We'd gone to Kentucky to visit my brother and we took a short trip to Daniel Boone National Forest. My niece was so excited. She loves taking photos, too. My batteries died and we had to keep swapping them from our cameras for us both to get pictures. It was funny.
The sun was close to setting and when it hits those limestone rocks it turns them a brilliant gold color. That area is one of the prettiest places I've ever seen.
This is one of the 80 natural arches in the Red River Gorge Geological Area. Here is a link for more information -

Hi Shelly, Three years old is not so much. Splendid natural arch. It is dofferent from the arches in Utah - grey color and set in the forest. Wonderful place indeed. Are there any traces of native Americans? Warm regards

This natural arch with the trees all around is so lovely. I do love the relaxed atmosphere, like in a greenhouse, and the sense of depth is really great. A masterful composition that shows very well this enchanted place.
Well done, warm greetings

Hi Shelly
Seeing the path alongside the arch gives us some scale as to its size. Very well exposed and nicely handled.

Hi, Shelly.
Great place! Most unfortunately I've never been here yet, but I've heard a lot about it. There sure is a whole bunch of hidden gems downsouth! Excellent exposure and definition, absolutely lovely sight.
Love the back-up-in-them-woods type of feeling! This should be Shawnee land, right? Looks like timber rattler country too...
LOVE IT, TFS! Have a wonderful day, I'll be seeing you soon. HUGS,
Fulvio.

Bonsoir, mon amie Shelly,

Hi Shelly,
I can see Fess Parker with his long rifle walking under this majestic stone arch.
Wonderful clear colors and lovely textured details to this idyllic scene.

Bonjour Shelly,

Hello Shelly,
This image is evocative of a stage setting, almost too perfect to be real. The light management, composition, colors and resolution are all excellent, and complemented by your usual engaging note.
Have a good Sunday, and more than that, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
