Photographer’s Note

I chased this little guy around the garden for about an hour, he really didn't like having his photo taken! I have a few others that show more detail on the wings, and maybe I'll update those later. I'm curious to know what species of butterfly it is. So if anyone knows please tell me! Enjoy!

~with help from Fayeulle it has been narrowed down to a Boloria butterfly, perhaps a 'boloria selene' or 'boloria bellona'~

Thanks for the comment. I like this picture. I would love to see a photo about the wings. Nicely captured the moment. The composition is really good, the dieing flower and the living creature. How big is this butterfly?
