Photographer’s Note
Tropical Storm Hanna passed us by yesterday. The photo was taken at maximum high tide. The waves were only 9ft high and kind of washing machine like. However every so often a good wave would come along, usualy a twenty minute wait. I took the camera up onto the pier, and it was driving rain by the way, and watched Atsushi (Japanese Hawaiian) surf, he was so pleased with the tube ride he had just completed, he did a deliberate flip in the surf, yelling for joy. The guy is a trip.

Hi Roger
Nice and sharp capture of the action! It's amazing to see that people are having fun with the storm when all we hear on the news are disasters caused by it. This is a very different perspective indeed.

A truly spectacular shot. The only 'negative' point is that the board isn't visible. That element would have raised it from just spectacular to incredible :-)
Amazing work.
