Hi, Kristen,
I like the palette of colors playing on the surface and the bird adds visual interest. But I think your composition could have been stronger. There is no place for the viewer's eye to rest in this picture except on the bird. The reflection of the bird in the water adds to the interest. But since the bird is already in the lower third of the frame, the bird's reflection crowds us into a corner. I think you would have done better placing the bird in the upper portion of the frame.
One other consideration. With such an uneven water surface, the reflections are very diffuse, not unlike being out of focus. There might have been more visual appeal if you reached higher on the top end to include the direct image of the foliage. (But then the bird might have become too small a feature...)
