Spinning Psychedelically Photo

Photographer’s Note

More than psychedelic, it was a freezing experience in Savannah, GA for Farah and I. The temperature was in its low 40's--the lowest in more than 10 years we heard.
I am sure 40 degrees Fahrenheit is not a big deal for many, but as Floridians, we felt in the North Pole. We spent the entire morning looking for gloves till we made it to this shop where they also sell Wind spinners as you can see. I like the psychedelic-looking result.

A very stunning but funny shot.
The red tones are really eyecathcing, and the vaporous effect is perfect to illustrate your note.

I like the psychedelic feeling, the strong saturated colors, the blue "tear" that comes out from the whole, and the almost hidden silhouette of the guy on the phone (Is it inside, is it a reflection?) A good composition. Well done!

Hi Maryori! The word psychedelic is an English term coined from the Greek words for "soul," ψυχή (psyche), and "manifest," δήλος (delos)see in wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychedelic.
I believe that in the photograph the hallucination is visible. Good your idea

Hello Maryori,
This is the type of psychedelic that I like! :))
I don't understand this photo one bit and that's one of the reasons why I like it! The effect is weird, the colors are flashy and strong and deep. I'm not too sure about the blue one, but that is not a big thing.
What I do like in this photo, contrary to the other ones you posted, and that is the reason why I write here, it is: the man with the phone!!!! Not obvious from the start, but when suddenly I saw it, I liked the photo even more. Without it, well... it is just a photo full of colors and strange forms and I would not have critiqued (hey! I don't write critiques these days...). But the guy in there? Love it!

Maryori,
Very nice an intense color image with quite a lot to look at, it a very modern art like image, with all these shapes and patterns. yet there is a person inside on the phone, kind of a surreal image merging with reality. A dream like image that one couldn't quite sure where he is. Do I make any sense? :) Anyhow, I enjoyed it. thanks

Hello Maryori,
I wish to have one colorful pic like this one day, love the red so much! The psychedelic effect is really great and luscious to look at. And like Claire I do find the man's presence is the cherry on the cake, the element that gives it all that "IT." Good work with a true touch of originality. I had to laugh at the 40 Fahrenheit, cool I'd say :-).

Hi Maryori,

I was watching videos on youtube last night about Savannah, and guess what, someone else took this same picture, but it wasn't as colourful. I want to know why it turned out so red. So I am commenting today, when it is as cold here as it was up there. Also, I am wearing my gloves. Makes my guitar playing hard, though.

The other picture is clearer, but this is the more interesting and surreal one.
