Photographer’s Note
This woman is in character mode at Mission St. Luis in Tallahassee. The Mission is an actual historical site that has been re-built to spec and has living actors portraying the actual folks that lived there centuries ago.
The house is that of a Spanish Merchant, so is a little finer than the others that I will be posting in the near future.
I made many levels adjustments here so that I could balance out the difficult lighting. I also adjusted curves and added a slight color tone to it as well as a soft vignette. Shot in RAW.
Thanks for looking and feedback is requested as this is a new realm of photography for me as far as interior work goes, so I'd appreciate any tips. This one's from my first real shoot with my new camera (Nikon D200) that I recently got for a song - great camera.
Thanks everyone,
TW

Tim,
I like it, the mood is soft, as is the tone across the interior. You can pick out a lot of details in the sparsely furnished house. There is little, if any, of the trademark distortion from the Sigma super wide. Overall, it is an interesting shot and worth much more than my two lousy monkeys.
Have a good one!

Hi Tim
Nicely done with the two lit areas (the wall on the left and the window) They form a frame that keeps the eye in the image and on the woman.

Hi Tim,
very nice shot, in which the light is superb. I also appreciated the contrast you have chosen. Yes, the D200 is a good camera. I used to have the D80 for about one year, that is mostly similar, with excellent results. Now I am using the D300, more difficult to understand, and really do not see many differences, a part of excellent low noise at high ISO.
Thanks for sharing.
