I went to shoot this bridge at night and the angle I liked the best was at the end of the Sunshine Skyway Fishing Pier. It is a state park and there is an entrance fee to fish or sightsee. The guy in the booth was not interested in my attempts at humor when I told him I just wanted to go to the end of the pier to take a photograph - there was the end of a fishing rod sticking out of my window. But, he sold me a sightseeing pass for $3.20 and cautioned me that I had just an hour to get off the pier. Someday I'll have to go back and fish there - it looked like a good spot.
I think it was a good spot for the photograph - what do you think?
This bridge is called The Bob Graham Sunshine Skyway, it was renamed in honor of a governor of Florida a few years back. It connects Bradenton to St. Petersburg over the Tampa Bay. It is a remarkable piece of engineering.

Hi Reed, the sharpness of your work is really noteworthy, the reflections and the colors come out nicely on the surface of the water. Thanks for sharing...Alex

I do not know anything about engineering, but I surely like the shapes of these fictious sails. The light is beautiful and you caught it marvellously. The POV is also well studied, dynamic, as if the sails were really pulling the whole bridge. Good job.

I like the golden color against the black sky and water. Your long exposure really gives a nice effect to the bay below, too. It was worth your effort to get a clear POV of this lovely bridge.
