Not sure what the name of this bird is, but the shot was taken on Hillsborough River in Tampa FL on one of my many canoe trips. If you recognize this bird please let me know, so I can post his name.

I myself have never tried bird shots, but I think they must be pretty hard to shoot. Well done here. The position, background blur and details are really top notch. My only concern is with the harsh light...was this taken during mid day? If so, and if you can, try shooting later in the day as it will produce rich colors and nice shadows. Well done, though.

I love this view - it's an ibis, and I think this may be a young white ibis whose colors haven't changed yet. The colors are brilliant, not really too bright for me, but I can see what gringofil is saying too. Up to you. :o)
