A bird on the beach Photo

Photographer’s Note

On St. Pete beach in Florida. I saw this bird watching this bird... (I TOLD you I was dreaming of women in bikinis http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo324075.htm).

PP. Crop and contrast adjustment.

RP: I got a couple of suggestions on this one the other day (a bit odd, because I had posted it months ago). Anyway, since my PP skills have improved I was able to do their suggestions. First, I cropped it tighter to eliminate some of the people outside the frame. Second, I cloned out two kids that were in this shot. Third, I added a frame for good measure.

PPS. Looks like I may have over sharpened. Too late now!

That's a nice composition Mike.
The bird complete this photo, without the bird it would look just like another beach scene.

Extremely well shaped seagull, Mike. Good cloning, cropping etc. I'm not sure about the oversharpening, it looks like a bit of over-reduction of noise (as opposed to what Adam has said!), probably to compensate for the sharpening, but I don't really know. It's a nice, humorous shot, though, so does a bit of noise or oversharpening really matter?

Beau duo, Mike, avec cette mouette en train de regarder la miss en maillot. C'est vrai qu'il y a un peu de bruit mais la composition et l'originalité du cliché sauvent tout.

nice job cropping this one for the final version.
It is a much better photo this way.
But there is quite a lot of noise in this one. :(

Yes this is noisiser and oversharpened. Not too keen on your choice of frame either but that is my (bad) taste maybe.

Hi Mike,
A clever image and a nice idea....immediately brought a smile to my face.I like the changes you have made and the cloning worked well.There is a touch of noise but this doesn't really matter as it is the idea behind the image that is more important.Well done!
