Photographer’s Note
On Florida's west coast, in St. Petersburg, there is a county park that juts out into Tampa Bay. Fort DeSoto Park is a small island connected to the mainland by a causeway, and consists of several beaches. One of the beaches is dedicated to the dog-lover. Dogs are free to roam and frolic in the surf, and the day we were there (no dog, just a camera), there were probably a hundred dogs along the half-mile stretch of beach. It made for some great photo opportunities like this man grappling with four dogs (although I think only one of them was actually his).
Cropped, sharpened.

Hi Robert, I do wonder whether I'd be very keen to walk barefoot along a beach frequented by hundreds of dogs. Although I don't own a dog, I'm very aware that the vast majority of owners "pick up" after their pooches have done what comes naturally. I find this vaguely bizarre but it means that our streets and public places are almomst completely devoid of unwelcome packages. Do we get this from the US?
As for the image, I like the contrast between the couple by the shore, completely obvlivious of the canine shenanigans a few feet away. The people and dogs are also very well framed and balanced across the shot. On the down side, I don't feel very engaged by the picture. I think it's because the man is bent over, the majority of characters are looking away from the camera and there's no real eye contact.
