Photographer’s Note
One more from my Florida series. This is a sunrise shot from the front of "The HMS Bounty", a reproduction sailing ship used in the 1962 MGM movie starring Marlon Brando. The Bounty charges a fee for tours, and has recently returned from filming the sequels to Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean and was also used in the filming of the 2005 adult movie Pirates.
The location was St. Petersburg Pier, processing was done with Irfanview 4.2.3 for cropping and sharpening, adding the frame and saving for the web.
I have a few more Florida photographs, so now that I am back in St. Louis, I will have time for some more careful processing - the laptop isn't the best for doing that even with the best and most expensive tools. I think you could do very well with Irfanview for most of the processing that is needed for TE, though. It's a free download and accepts Photoshop plugins!

The sunset colours are very appealing and make an excellent background for the graphic lines of the old sailing ship. At 2 second shutter there is motion blur on the palms; not a problem. Also the bowsprit is soft; not sure if that is the wind or if it is outside the focal range although I would have thought f16 should have it covered. (Maybe bring forward your focal point??) Nevertheless it is a very attractive image.
