The Merriest Christmas For You ...
Wherever you are.... Whoever you are...
And, it really doesn't matter how many pictures you have had removed by administration.
Or, in what language do you yap on forums. Or… If you are going to India to make some fotkas to show us, or you are already coming back from India with tons of fotkas for us to see… Or, if you are strongly against me or you are strongly against me and my fotkas - combined.
It really doesn't matter how many hundreds of green macaques your latest photo ( the one with the empty bench in the park covered with the blue snow) earned so far… After all - we, the members of TE - we don't care about the points - do we…? Take me, for example: You folks, can give me tons of green monkies for each photo - I wouldn't even care…!
For all of you - all over the map - I wish you as much all of the best as you wish me, dear folks - at this Christmas time…
.
.
.
What…? It's too late…?
Well… I tried… Bloody hell…I tried and tried…and tried… I've got some serious malfunctions on my computer - obviously…
--------------------
As seen on December 25 2004 on a milky white beaches of Sarasota.
One of the kitschiest Christmas postcardish fotkas ever posted on TE…
But… But it's oh, so sweet…
…………………
Have a look down there… Some of you obviously liked it as much as I did… Just 'copy and paste' it, fun.
Yippie…!!!!

George,
I like the way you keep osting these photos of Christmas day leading up to the 25th. The sand that looks like the snow is a nice touch. Now if they had been penguins ;)
I wonder what your christmas photo will be this year?
A very Happy Christmas to you George.
Best regards,
Mark

Recipe for the American Christmas Dream: add a pinch of white sand, two caramelized Santa hats, a crisp Walmart shopping bag and a roasted stuffed tiger in the arms of a voluptuous female. Place them on the white beach of Sarasota, and, if you like that way, hint it with a touch of salty sand.
You had it. You did it. It works!
The most bizarre, improbable of shots, George. Great Christmas merriment for sure.
Hope you enjoy it, even up here.

have tho most wonderful....

This is both outrageous and delicious. This loving couple appears anomalously on the milky beach, while the puzzled gulls look on wonderingly. A humorous and effective shot. All the best of the holiday season, George.

• Another great, original composition George. A really strong subject with good colors. I've never spent xmas on the beach. Thanksgiving in the outer bahks of NC but nver xmas. This year though, it'll be xmas in Sudan for me...can't wait.
I like the little elements in this one. The person in the ocean, the seagulls along the beach, the bright red of their hats and their embrace on the beach. It doesn't matter where you are, it's who you're with and what you're doing at the moment that matters most.
Great work.

Yeah, it's pretty kitschy, all right. Are you sure you didn't just buy a postcard and scan it? Actually, nah. You can out-kitsch any kitschy postcard photographer. Why, you can even make kitsch show through thick layers of noise and grain. But most of all, this has too much character and originality to be a postcard. It would never make the cut.
Thanks for the second chance to comment on this one. It deserves more than once.
Happy New Year, George, Happy New Year. Regards, Ken.

Pozdrawiam lichosniegowo z Paryza. Grazyna.

No niby tak, ale... Chyba jestem konserwatystą regionalnym i nie bardzo wyobrażam sobie Boże Narodzenie bez śniegu i mrozu. Ale.. zdjęcie ma swój niezaprzeczalny urok. To oczywiste. Pozdrawiam świątecznie.

yeah, Jurek, as Ken says: you can out-kitsch any kitschy postacard photographer. that's some 'round christmas there... 'round and around (look at the birds)... ok, ok, there is quite some WHITE too. a good one, George!
Happy 2009 once more to you!

I really love this kitsch photo (you said it first) ! It looks a bit like a mise en scčne, but maybe not ?
Anyway : great fun, ... I realise that all the times that I was travelling during Christmas in the tropics, it was in a Muslim or Hindu or Buddhist country, so I never really knew Christmas under the coconut trees - here you give us an alternative image. Very unusual and fresh, ... but I am not sure that you don't care at all about makakas - this time you deserve certainly them !
Love the faded birds and the vivid reds... cute and amusing, playful and fun !

Don't even know if I'm there. Too long note. But the pic is the best christmas postcard I can imagine. Beautiful capture of their love and their baby tiger. Is that bike on the right. Shouldn't that person on the right BG be cropped?

Hello George! It is funny to read my own words, what I wrote to you in 2006, was this really me I was thinking. The "worst" thing is if someone reads my texts loud and if I have to listen to it, than I usually cover my ears and sing loud :)))) This is for sure one of my favorite xmas pictures, it is tender, it makes the connection to the Season and yet it is a million miles away from my xmas but I love it, the same way I liked it in 2006 ... as Ken wrote, it deserves a second comment, and I truly hope I do not have to write a third ... but I would! Quite touching, George. :))
I'm not quite sure what kitsch means, but if it's anything like 'cheesy' then you said it. It's still really cute and very, very different. They stand out wonderfully against all the stuff around them. One thing I did notice. That girl has a big ole.... well, I'm sure you noticed, too. LOL Take good care, my rascally friend and have a great New Year, with fondest regards,
Shelly

That's the most improbable photo of Christmas that I have the joy to have seen in my life! Looking at it, I can't help it, I smile, laugh and cry. Try that!
The mix of elements here is just impossible. Let me give some of them:
- White sand like if it was some snow! It should be snow, isn't it?
- Santa Claus kind of hats on a beach.
- The woman all in black, long leaves, long pants and then, you have somebody bathing in the water.
- The man with a Christmas bag. As if he was shopping right now. On a beach!!!
- A bike dropped on the beach with birds around.
- And a mysterious something in the arms of the woman. Sorry, I could not figure that out! (I'm not talking about the man obviously, but about the red and yellow thing!).
Nevertheless, this most improbable photo works!!! In fact, it does marvels! A great, great one George!
And Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
Claire
