Photographer’s Note
In the resort town of Panama City, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico is a Garden Center with a pleasant walkway. I stepped into the shade of one of the ornate street lamps and noticed how the hidden sun still announced it's presence, making the frosted globe burst with radiance. Look at that shutter speed! That's making your digicam work, eh? Ha ha, hope you enjoy it and it's not sharpened too much...

Interesting experiment; Amazing to think the light is from the sun and not electricity. It possibly is a tad over-sharpened as you feared, as the halo around the lamp will testify, but it somehow suits the image.

Yes I think the noise actually adds to this one! Gives the air the same texture as the lamp--I like it a lot!

I like the shot which looks both realistic and a bit surreal. The colour of the sky is a nice deep blue and the street lamp shines like the sun itself. I don't mind the over-sharpening here as it makes the photo almost look like a print.
