The Tree of Life, a photo from Florida, South

Photographer's Note

Last year Lee took a fantastic picture of Animal Kingdom's "Tree Of Life". Yesterday I visited the park with my sons and their granddaddy, and I took some close ups of this incredible attraction. The tree is man-made, but it is beautiful none-the-less, and it is covered with animals that appear to have been carved into it. How many can you find?

Despite its artificial origin this tree trunk, it looks incredibly authentic and certainly displays consummate workmanship in its artistic creation.
I like the soft contrasting of your photo which adds to the "bark's" appeal.
Is this the same tree with an elaborate tree house above?

A truly beautiful capture of the tree!! I love the way you have gotten so much of the detail. The bottom right looks just a bit over-exposed, IMHO, but that's Florida, bright sunshine. Good job!

This is an incredible work of art. Is the tree still alive ? I would hope so with a title such as "tree of life". I wonder how it could survive to that carving or maybe it's a fake tree ?
Your pic is very sharp and shows much details. Might be a little overexposed on the right side however.

OK, I don't use this term lightly, but this is psychedelic! Totally weird. Perhaps someone on this site has posted a picture of a tree in Ayutaya Thailand, where there is a Buddha image completely engrossed in tree-root growth. It's also amazing.

absolutely beautiful!! I like all the details and the contrasts and the light that comes from the top right! It's also a good thing to have kept some leaves on the left as it gives us some sense of depth!
