Photographer's Note

Harriet (as in "Ozzie and Harriet") moves from one branch to another one to be a little bit closer to her 2 babies that are in the nest, which is not in this photo but to the right of the branch she's about to land on. The pair of bald eagles have been nesting in this same location for the last 6 years or so and have raised 8 or 9 offspring during that time.

If you look closely at the tree trunk on the right edge of the photo you can see some black straps on the tree. The straps are holding a camera in place that is monitoring the nest 24/7.
