LOOKING UPWARD !

Walking around Miami Beach was lots of pleasant moments, including seeing open air art ! For this one, I decided to look upward and shoot! Here's one of the results!

"SOUTH POINTE PARK: A formerly hardscrabble spot has been transformed with light towers and artfully arranged dune grass. Sunset at the newly revitalized zone at the tip of South Beach is filled with joggers and strollers. A totem of color-actually a 55-foot-tall lighthouse by German artist Tobias Rehberger-stacks up against the wavy palms and high-rise condos."

Tobias Rehberger's 55-foot obstinate lighthouse, 2011, is the newest addition to the City of Miami Beach public art collection and is created as an accumulation of nineteen staggered parts, topped by an installation of moving lights at its peak. According to Mr. Rehberger: “The sculpture is a modern and playful interpretation of a beacon. However, rather than guiding ships, the light functions to greet all city visitors and locals with a choreographed light display that references the lively spirit of Miami Beach.”

Hello Ney,
I like this abstract photo. The colors are so strong, and your POV looking up is great. I also like the way the bottom pieces reach across the entire frame, and then get narrower as they move upwards. I used to go to Miami Beach every summer when I was younger. It is definitely a place with lots of color and beautiful views.

L'effetto di questi colori é bellssimo.

Looks like a load of liquorice allsorts piled on top of each other:-) Makes a great graphical image set against that clear blue sky. Superb saturated colours and very good sharpness. Well done!

Hello Neyvan,

This is a lovely and very striking "graphic" image which is quite different to your usual photographs. But I love it!

Wonderful big bold blocks of bright and vibrant colours, strong bold lines and all set against a beautiful clear blue sky with just a few little wisps of cloud right at the top of this impressive structure.

Perfect exposure and sharp as a needle!

This has strong composition with lovely vibrant colours. Your viewpoint and framing are clever. The small cloud looks like smoke! The well saturated colours and excellent sharpness make this a very clean, abstract image.
