When you work on a cruise ship and someone gets really sick, they need to go back to land. There is a hospital onboard but are not equiped to handle serious conditions like stroke or heart attack. In theses cases a helicopter is brought in what we call a medevac.
i particulary like this picture becuase of the location of the helicopter it makes it look so imense compared to the people beside and the cable the runs off the helicopter to the coast guard officer gives it a sense of connection
Since i am in the picture,(I am the one wearing the bunker gear) it means that i did not take the picture.. i had set my camera on a tripod and a friend of mine just snapped the shutter. luckily there was someone tere because the whole thing might of flown away with by the wind the helicopter created.
I was suprised that there was not that much wind staying directly under the helicopter and something you might not be aware of..if the helicopter is directly above you and it is getting really low to the ground. you can actually "pick up " the helicopter... as it is hovering, the "weight" of the helicopter is 0. so you can move he helicopter... Just some useless trivia
