Nice shot Jess! You've captured this little slice of paradise well, palms trees, white sands, and clear turquoise water - what more could I ask for. Have to chuckle at the place name it sounds like "kiss me" but said with a stutter ;) As for the scanning - could be better. There are a couple of tricks. Firstly scan at high resolution and downsize using Bicubic - for prints, try scanning at ~300dpi, for film ~1500dpi. Then remember to sharpen the image after resizing - if you have Photoshop CS2, use SmartSharpen 0.8px, 0 and vary the percentage until it brings out the right amount of fine detail - for coarser detail use a larger radius value. Anyway, a lovely shot :D
