Photographer’s Note
Harry Truman’s Little White House:
There are two photos to this set. The back of the house, the shot in the workshop, is a better photo than the posted top one. The light was wrong and this was the only opportunity, but enough in the way of excuses...
Wikipedia’s version of this story was somewhat lacking so I have attached a link
to a copyrighted site that has a more complete version, please take a look it is well worth the two minutes it will take to read.
The elevator version is that 5 US Presidents used this home over the years, Thomas Edison lived here n 1918 while inventing weapons for the US, and the property is held in rust by the State of Florida for the peoples of the world.

Hello Greg. I love the perspective you used here on Harry Truman's white house. I can see from your link that this appears to be rear of the home in contrast to the photo in the link. I am thinking that the house photo in the workshop is the front view, but not certain. The place looks in very fine shape and the design has been modernized a little. I wonder what the cost of upkeep was over the last 100 years? Thanks for sharing.

Hi Greg,
Looks like a wonderful little tropical retreat with such abundant shade from the giant palms that brings soothing shadows on the sandy lawn.
The stiff breeze brings a full flutter to the flags and the swaying palms.
Very informative link about this forgoteen jewel.
Beats the heck out of that dusty ranch in Crawford.
Regards, Tom

Hello Greg,
The frontage is in the shade, but the image is all the same of good quality also that the ws. This historical building was worth an image to make known it, and on this subject, the link is interesting. Good, beautiful and useful work.
Have a nice day and weekend

Hello Greg,
Seeing this presidential home, I thought it was a holiday, but I read the link and see that it was a workplace.
Guess where you took the photo was not possible to get better angle, so I almost prefer the WAS. Anyway a good photo documentary with wonderful details and colors.
Saludos cordiales,

Hi, Greg.
Compositionally strong and well presented. The workshop might feature better light, but I fully understand and support your choice. The link provides great additional info, so... great package! Have a nice weekend, I'll be seeing you.

Hi Greg,
It's indeed surprising see how modest it looks, considering its use by so many distinct figures, but it's also very charming and inviting. Like you pint in the note, the light or its angle wasn't the most favourable, and it's better in the WS, but we can still enjoy the presentation, which is quite effective. You chose a really good POV in both of them. The flags are very catchy, for their colours that do a nice contrast with the rest and their motion.
Regards, José.

Hello Greg,
nice the view to this unknown to me Harry Truman’s Little White House.I can say that the shot in the WS has more brilliant light when at the same time the light is enhancing the colours.I like this reportage shot of the 5 US presidents.Well done.
