Photographer's Note
Oyster catcher is the kind of bird this is, but it's not an oyster he has in his beak.
The Little Estero Critical Wildlife Area on Fort Myers Beach has become one of my absolute favorite locations to shoot wildlife photographs. There is an abundance of birds and activity all year around and it never disappoints. It doesn't matter whether it's February or July, there is always something great to photograph there.
Canon 400mm f2.8 lens w/ 2x teleconverter, taken from ground level and nearly eye level of the subject.
