Over the past few years the Little Estero Critical Wildlife Area at Fort Myers Beach has become one of my favorite places to photograph wildlife and this photo is an example of why.
The yellow/gold in the water is the reflection of high-rise condominium buildings overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
Canon 400mm f2.8 lens w/ 2x teleconverter and an extremely low camera angle.

Wildlife photography and especially that of birds is an extremely difficult field
It takes very long and expansive lens, tripods and above all technique, patience an luck
here with your 400 and a 2x converter, this makes a 1200mm if the 1D has a small sensor
Hats off for the quality result that I see here on a restricted to 300ko file
have a nice day
