Taken along the Gulf of Mexico at Lover's Key State Park. The park is located between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Beach.
Note to TE moon shot enthusiasts like me: there will be a full moon tomorrow night (Aug. 31). It will be the 2nd full moon of the month, the first one occuring on the 1st. Such an event is known as a "blue moon".

a beautiful natural and graphic picture superbly composed and framed. I like very much the elegant silhouette of the bird against the marvellous liquid, warm and cold colours of the rest of the frame. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good evening,

Wonderful picture. Lovely light and colors, the bird almost a silouette only and a shallow DOF, all of it makes a composition that really works so well.

Splendid wildlife shot, and credit to your achievement with this result and great waiting game but applaud your hawk eyes scanning the horizon for this opportunity. The shiny sparkling golden color of the reflection is so mouth watering, such a delightul observation timely shot at high shutter speed freezing this fast moving almost silhoutted bird. Shallow dof, the crop and vibrant color liven this shot. A very creative shot and good vision. TFS,

Another fine result here with the little bird seemingly wading in a sea of gold. This one has a contemplative and peaceful vibe to it. Absolute perfect depth of field for maximum sharpness of your subject
Have a great weekend

superb colors in the blurred FG and BG, and sharp pin focus on the bird are the key points of this shot. Even backlighted, we can see details in the feathers.
400 mm f2.8 is also the key of success.
Congrats for this stunning nature shot, not welcome by the TE members (they prefer usual landscapes under midday sun)!
