Photographer's Note
Late afternoon at one of my favorite places: the Little Estero Critical Wildlife Area.
This is a snowy egret that was hanging around a kid who was fishing with a large net. Every so often the kid would throw a treat to the egret and a few other birds that also had gathered around. I had already take a few photos of this guy as he was waiting for his next treat when all of a sudden he emphatically started shaking and ruffling his feathers. This shot is my favorite of the four I took in the sequence.

That looks like one angry bird !
A super close up with beautiful detail. The soft focus background, what background there is, is perfect. The little yellow highlights really brighten up a wonderful study of greys.
Delightful !

Gregory,
I really like how you have managed to capture something as fluid and organic as an egret into a very symmetrical, almost formal, photo. The very limited colour pallet helps make this work so well. Nice work.

Egret giant! Ready to squash you. An effective POV and the mood caught is 'ominous'. I wouldn't dare take on someone like him.

This is a very well timed shot. The bird looks rather comical as though it's a bit unsure about his own legs and body. The vertical format is great to emphasise those long spindly legs. Clarity and sharpness are excellent. Very well done.

Hello gregory,
how could I resist this comical little fellow.Great low pov to show off his long legs. Good enough sharpness to show off his fine, fluffy feathers.
best regards,
Bev
