Photographer’s Note
This shot was taken from Sandy Bottoms beach bar looking south. The photo was taken in early evening as the sun was starting to set.
Fernandina Beach is a city in Nassau County in the state of Florida in the United States of America and on Amelia Island. The area was first inhabited by the Timucuan tribe. Known as the "Isle of 8 Flags", it had the following flags flown over it since 1562: France, Spain, Great Britain, Spain (again), the Patriots of Amelia Island, the Green Cross of Florida, Mexico, the Confederate States of America, and the United States. It is the only municipality in the United States that has flown eight different national flags.

Bonjour Asa,
Un joli coin de plage tranquille de fin d'après-midi, avec peu de monde sur le sable. L'image est douce, agréable, avec une bonne PDC.
Mes amitiés

Hello Asa,
This island caused many covetousnesses, according to all quoted flags. It is a beautiful image, another very pleasant vision of United States. Cheer.
Have a nice day

Hi Asa,
A well balanced picture with soft and sharp colours. The inclusion of the staircase gives a good depth here.

Bonsoir Asa,
C'est une plage un peu déserte comme je les aime.
En effet au mois de juillet les plages en France sont envahies par des vacanciers et des visiteurs.
Avec cet escalier de bois au premier plan on obtient une belle composition.
Amicalement
Jean-Luc

Hi Asa,
Beautiful capture of this lovely underdeveloved stretch of beach. The tall grass and golden reeds seen blowing in the wind makes for a very eye pleasing scene. The blue ocean blends well with the pale blue sky as they meet on the distant horizon.

Hi Asa,
A nice view over the beach with a pleasant light, especially in the background. The composition is good, although I don't know what to say about the inclusion of the stairs. Well, it's okay, I think, adds some extra interest to the foreground. Thanks for sharing!

Lars

Hi Asa!
A very interesting story of this multi-flags place and a beautiful illustration how nice is living under many flags but surrounded by few crowds...

Hi Asa,
you know that this path makes me remember the time I spent in Miami Beach in 1997. I know this is probably far from that beach but I can recognize those typical pathways. I like the luminosity of your shot with soft lights and natural colors. It's a great pov of this beach. Very well done!
