This is a Red Faced Cormorant perched high in a tree in the Everglades National Park in Florida. I was standing on a dirt track taking this, having just been hissed at by an alligator just a few feet off the path, so I kept looking down while thinking about the composition for this one. ;-)

Nice, clear and sharp photo. The bird looks somewhat small - is that a chick?
I like your composition, and the story behind it...

Never in my wildest dreams I thought that I should see a cormorant resting in a tree top - never. Well, now I have seen it but I am still rubbing my eyes, may be I should put the cork back in the buttle of red wine and leave it there.
Great capture Martin - sharp and clear. Not much to complain about - it is perfect.

Belle photo Martin. Belle couleurs le Cormorant se détache très bien du bleu du ciel.
