Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken during my first photography class ever. This photo was taken at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. This statue depicts three living soldiers in Vietnam leaving the jungle from the war. As the exit, the first thing they see is the Wall -- and they are in shock of all the names of those who died.

Hello Joy,
Welcome to Trekearth. You've made a debut with a very good photograph, well composed and appropriate for the Fourth of July. For me it is especially poignant, since I knew the sculptor, Frederick Hart, who passed away in 1999 — indeed, the finest figurative sculptor of the past fifty years.
Warm regards.
