A week after the election, this enormous "Good Wishes" card was erected in front of the Lincoln Memorial, signed by thousands of people. In the distance you can see the Washington Monument.

Now that Barack Obama is president, we all wish him the best in the light of the serious challenges that our world faces. Together, as One World, Yes We Can!

Boy, I sure hope he "can" - eek, we really need help. I'd say overall that Americans are very excited for this change! Thanks for posting on a historic day in American history.
