The Lost Symbol, a photo from District of Columbia, South

Photographer's Note

I titled the photo "The Lost Symbol" because this location is one of the scenes in the Dan Brown novel of the same title.

This is a photo of the domed ceiling of the US Capitol in Washington, DC, USA. I composed it with a silhoutte of the statue of George Washington which to my mind makes the photo more interesting or dramatic.

In the novel, a "clue" leading to The Lost Symbol was hidden in the artwork (painting) on the domed ceiling.

very interesting frame work by the silhouette of standing statue inside the beautiful architecture...like the golden tone design of the dome...
very nice perspective...good light management with nice color contrast & sharpness...
