[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I love to use color against black to create the most beautiful contrast. This is a common view, after sunset, along the Indian River Bay, in Southern Delaware.

Hi Chip, This is at itself a good composition. However I believe it deserves a better approache. I made a WS.

ditto puister. try underexposing more for the color. you should be able to do this right before the sun sets, handheld, relatively low iso and a smaller aperture to widen your dof. also point towards the sun cause thats where your most color is (easier said than done in delaware). when shooting sunsets i usually use aperture priority, f/11 or smaller (for a 70-200mm lens at least. for my wide angle lenses f/5.6 works well.), ev -1 to -2 and just shoot away. better luck next time.
