Photographer’s Note
I photographed Fort Chaffee last January, a few weeks before it burned in a grass fire. This is almost 6 months later. These barracks were the temporary homes of refugees of many nationalities over the years. In most recent history, it was a temporary shelter for those displaced by hurricane Katrina. ALso many films were shot here such as Biluxi Blues. Now it's all gone. Be sure to check out the workshop for the close up of the sign.
