Below is the original message for this image. I thought it might be interesting to see this image with a sepia tone as opposed to my traditional faux toned Agfa Rag look. Normally I would not repost such an insignificant change as this, but I wanted to bring to everyone's attention how delicate historic sights such as these are. What you see here no longer exists. Fires ravaged through this complex of buildings yesterday destroying nearly all of what you see in this image and much more off camera. The photos I took are likely some of the last taken of these buildings with serious artistic content before there recent destruction. I will be posting many more of these lost historic buildings in the weeks to come.

I took this on my recent trip home for the Holidays. This is a small portion of the barracks at Ft Chaffee. These barracks have housed both soldiers and refugees for decades. I sizable portion of the Vietnamese who came here when Saigon fell were housed here as well as the Cuban refugees several years later. If they look familiar, you might have seen them in Biloxi Blues and other popular films in the last 30 years. In recent history, over 10,000 displaced people were housed here after Katrina hit the gulf. Don't these buildings just look so comfy?
