Photographer’s Note

This is one of the many cruise ship pictures I took from Bluebeard's Castle, which offers an unbeatable view of the cruise ships and downtown Charlotte Amalie especially from the restaurant called Room with a View.

Sometimes there are as many as ten cruise ships waiting to dock. Some of the cruise ships look as big as an apartment building!

Havensight mall, beside the cruise ship, dock is a great place to shop. It is also a bit cheaper than downtown.

Downtown shopping is more fun as most of the shops are within three blocks from the ocean front.

Jewellery is said to be a good bargin.

Hello Cathy,
A good, purposeful image you present us with here, however it is very small and rather dark in nature. The point of view is nice, with the nclusion of the lower tree and scattered boats, but the horizon is tilted. Follow these tips and I am sure an improved image can be created. Have a good weekend.

Hello Cathy,
I agree with Matthew that the photo was small, dark (under exposed) and the horizon was tilted. So I did a workshop and tried to correct it a bit. I liked you composition and high point of view.

Hi Cathy,
I think everything is already said about your nice picture but I hope you don't mind a workshop with some adjustments. Considering the starting image do not expect a quality image, it's just a way to show you what I had in mind.
