A bit of a postcard shot from San Juan. This shot was taken at a curve in the city wall; I was standing at its edge looking down on a nice little recreational scene. Just to the left but out of frame - there was no good angle on it - is the famous San Juan gate, the entry point to the old city. I would have explored more, but it was hot, we were hungry, and my wife was getting a little tired of standing around watching me take pictures (and who can blame her).

I remember these impressive walls from a visit to San Juan some thirty years ago. Fine capture this, well composed and nicely lit. Excellent colours and clarity.

Un magnifique point de vue, et bonne composition avec le bateau en premier plan, le mur bien exposť au soleil et le bleu de la mer.

This looks to be a beautiful coastline full of interesting features. Your composition gives a wonderful depth to the scene. It's nice to have included the people at the bottom of the wall, so we can have a good idea of its dimensions. The foreground boat makes a perfect focal point to introduce the viewer into the scene. The colours are very apppealing and bright in the sun. Well done.

I love a good postcard shot, this is a beauty! The vivid blues and the earthy tones of the structure, with so much excellent depth leading off to the distant shores. The clouds are full of drama too, they are vying for attention here!
You composed the boat in the scene perfectly too. Really nicely done.
And I laughed at your note, I too know the feeling of others getting peeved at our photo exploits. Still, such is the way when you have a passion!
All the best

a good shot from a beautiful place that reminds of somewhere in Europe, around the Mediterranean perhaps. Nice composition, the boat create a good balance. I like the colors of the lovely water, it looks very attractive.

It certainly looks a historical place. Very nice high viewpoint looking down harbour walls. Fun to notice those swimmers and that tiny beach. The boat is well placed to fill the void.

this is very nicely composed picture. The boat has been jut perfectly placed in the corner to fill up the space in this part of the image. The horizon thanks to very good sharpness and depth is also interesting with the cityscape and some hills in far distance. I very much like the colors as well as nicely given contrast.

Looks a little like Corfu in west Greece, Both have forts, clear blue seas, nice beaches and boats. The yellow sandy beach at left on a diagonal sets up a nice warm cold color contrast as well as enhancing the dynamism and perspective. Tfs!

Andrew, beautiful ocean, nicely cropped with the dock extending out into the center of the frame. Is that really a beach at left? I see a couple of people in the water.

This is a great postcard shot! The placement of the fort and the inclusion of the boat and swimmers add great interest and balance for the shot. The lighting is outstanding and the color and sharpness is great.
