Atalntic City Boardwalk, a photo from New Jersey, Northeast

Photographer's Note

It was a warm summer day. Decided to drive down to Atlantic City not for gambling but for sightseeing. It was a 90 minute drive on Garden State Parkway and 15 minute drive on Atlantic City Expressway. Parked the car in the garage and with my camera came to the shore where you see these colorful buildings. There are a few casinos, lots of shops, eating places and other things on this boardwalk.

Surprisingly colorful for a US city. Good saturation & sharpness too with the people adding scale & animating the shot. The diagonal angle of the street adds dynamism & linear perspective. Tfs!

I like the straight line of the boardwalk leading the eye on those colorful buildings. Good animated view and summer mood. Looks like one of Donald's Trump casino at the rear.

Dear Lakshmi,
the photo is very beautiful soul, happy with all these colorful buildings, a scene full of movement and without cars, there is also a good sharp, your POV is very good and nice perspective created, the picture is a little crooked, hanging 1 degree to the left, and there's a bit of lens distortion, in my opinion is a little too bright, do not hate me for my comments, are lightness, is a great shot, I did a WS ... hope you do not mind, have a good day,

I didn´t realize,that Atlantic City is so beautiful and colorful.Agree with Juan,it looks almost like Disneyland.Very nice captured scene,which shows us large part of this boardwalk with beautiful surrounding architecture.Excellent work!

Hello Dear Lakshmi !

We rarely see a town as colourful as this one. The atmosphere of the town is also just as colourful as the photo itself. Is the pavement of this part of the town done in wood? I wonder what this town is like after dark. I can imagine it to be well illuminated and even livelier in ambience. This image reminds me of a photo from Miami. All the architecture is made of sugar. The cheerful atmosphere of the town is well presented in the photo. The image is well exposed and well saturated. Atlantic City in August, the summery scene is full of friendliness. The pedestrian street is very nice; we don’t have to watch out for cars. To be able to walk in the middle of the wide walkway must be a very pleasant experience.

I had no idea a city in the US could look so colourful and exotic!
With the relaxed atmosphere of the people in the pedestrian street this looks like a scene in a major film studio.
Or like a scene of a theme park.

Colorful image of "East-Vegas", Lakshmi.
