Photographer’s Note
These hardy Morgan Draft Horses are native to Vermont.
At the Park-McCollugh Farm in North Bennington they exclusively raise these beautiful beast who love to visit with their many canine friends who frequent the farm for the hiking trails there that are open to the public.
These two guys were taking a dip in the muddy pool on this unusually warm Nov. afternoon.

Hello Tom,
I like the beautiful warm colours in this fine study. A very pleasing light with excellent natural colours and good clarity. Splendid looking animals bred to work hard.

HI Tom
I am used to seeing your dog so this is different.
Good capture of the fall colors, the horse wallowing in the water has a lot of details. The house set in the slope typical Vermont farm. You rendered a good shot of our state.

Your signature colors are here. But also, these sturdy horses, so healthy and sturdy, so carefree playing in the mud. So much happier than their racing cousins balanced on thin ankles and legs. I wonder if they are still used for work?
Too bad the brown ones legs got cut off a bit, but hey, I don't imagine you had a choice.
Cheers.

Hi Tom,
I love the way the light sets the lovely detail of these beautiful animals' coats aglow!! I saw the title and I knew you would take me back to my childhood when I used to ride my uncle's Morgans.

Hi Tom,
Typical beautiful landscape from the US NE;
wow, we can start noticing the winter is
approaching now as the leaves and colors are
starting to "leave". The horses seem so
calm and with a good disposition to be
photographed. Lovely composition.
Thanks Tom!

Hello Tom,
This is a fine day for November!
The sky is bright and the light is good; only the bare trees give a hint of the season!
These contented horses set a wonderful tone to the shot, complemented with thegentle, undulating field and the welcoming farm in the b/g.
The shot is well balanced with the horses in the f/g and the building in the b/g.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
