Winter's vice-like grip hold on the Northeast with daytime highs still below freezing the ice and snow stubbornly hold. March "goes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. In a few weeks this whole scene will be coated in springtime mud.

Hey, Tom,
good heavens. That is a LOT of ice and snow. Not something I miss at all. The light and color are wonderful and I like the POV you chose looking at that small waterfall. Vermont is a beautiful state and you have done it great justice with this shot. Thanks and have a good week,
Shelly

We are having really warm temperatures right now. (which are still too cold for me) This really looks freezing!! This is a great picture of the water. TFS

Nice shot Tom, the drama of the snow, ice and the falls is fantastic. I am guessing that where I am is just south enough that we don't get it looking like this which of course makes it all the more special. Great capture.

Greg

Hi Tom,
very nice picture.I really like the colors and the point of view. Man that`s a lot of snow and it seems to be cold. Total difference here, we should have a lot more snow now but it`s actually all gone. However, very nice picture, well done!

Greetings
Mark

Hi Tom
Another beautiful shot about the winter's scenery. The trees covered by ice and red house in background gave beauty for this picture. Well done, regards, Consuelo

Tom,
brrrrrr! Now I know why I'm located in California. Wednesday I will post a shot for you. I took it yesterday, just as you did this one here. It is also all white, just like this here, but a different white. You will see!
Peter

Hi Tom.

Hola Tom,
Preciosa imagen de un frío invierno. Estupendo contraste de colores con gran profundidad. Me gusta mucho esa cascada rodeada de nieve.
Cordialmente
Charo

Hi Tom,
a fascinated view with superb sharpness-clearness it let us to see every detail very good.
Cheers

Powerful shot, Tom. Those cold and seemingly semi-frozen falls really draw the eyes. The other details -- red barn, snow-limned trees, the distant hill, all add context and color. I was distracted by the wire at first, but I suspect you left it in so as not to crop off the top of the hill. Nice work on this.

Hello Tom,an amazing scene of the waterfall, it is quite hard to decide which is running water and which is ice!The textures are beautiful. You have a good DoF with the lovely backdrop of the mountains. You were obviously blessed with a beautiful sunny day on your trip.
Tfs, regards Jean.

hi tom,

Hi Tom
WOW c'est vraiment beau cette chute au bout d'un lac et au pied de la montagne, paysage hivernal de toute beauté, bravo.

Hi Tom,
My wife is a naturalized American citizen from Scotland and your winter scene reminds me of our joke when we say (in reference to Scotland) "It is a Balmy day in the highlands" (ie 29.7 degrees F, with sleet and 40 mph winds). In spite of the frigid temperatures this is a beautiful rural landscape with wonderful composition and lighting. Your photo reminds me of an old Currier and Ives painting. Winter can have some of the most gorgeous scenery. Superb!

I Can't tell if the water is still running somewhat or is it all frozen? Anyway a pleasing shot that shows winter's grip.

Hi, Tom -

I do so like Vermont; it's the prettiest of the 50 states. (Fun politically, too!) And it manages to show itself well in all 4 seasons. As in this shot here, where you've captured what seems to me to be the essence of a Vermont winter. (Though I wish you'd shifted the angle a little to keep those wires out.)

Regards,
Dan

Hello Tom
I like your point of view on these falls. Excellent colours and details. I like the distribution of light. The water looks so cold....brrrrrrr! Well done!
Best regards
Denis!

Hi Tom,
You captured pure magic here with the shimmering water falling into the icey chasm. What an amazing difference the winter makes in this impressive waterfall; the bare trees let the old red schoolhouse(?) provide great contrast in this winter wonderland.

Hi Tom,
Good pov to show the winter scenery near to the resident houses, impressive weather and season photo, thanks for sharing.
