Photographer’s Note
It escapes me at the moment exactly where on the Long Trail we were, but I remember it was a miserable, cold, and rainy day. Once arriving at the shelter, we huddled in our sleeping bags to dry and avoid hypothermia in the summer. Us and other hikers stopping here for the night all passed out from trying to maintain our body temperatures. We all awoke when the storm broke to this lovely image outside. It gave us all a much needed morale boost.
