Hi Tom,
It's one of those famous wooden bridges were i always though they only exist in Iowa (probably because of that movie with Clint and Meryl), bit it seems there are much more. I would like to capturte one of these bridges myself because we don;t have them here and they look wonderful in every way. Here within a winter scenery the red is boosting against the snow...looks great. Pity about that modern fence, but your composition with the wheel in front is very well composed.

Henk

I think the US must be the only country that has these covered bridges; I have never seen them anywhere else. The red colour is very striking and the perspective carries the eye right through the image. The structure in the front is an interesting addition. Despite the dark sky there is some welcome light highlighting parts of the scene to its advantage.

Hello Tom, Love those brightly covered wooden bridges to so well capture, this has the snow that makes it different what I'm usually seeing in your gallery, colour & detail are excellent as is the snow covering the metal mechanism. Thanks for the informative note.

Hello Tom,
great shot of this lovely bridge over the almost frozen river.
Good management of light and beautiful colors. I especially like the contrast between the warm red of the bridge and the cold snow. Very well chosen angle and good depth. Good composition.
Best wishes,
Helmut

What a treasure, such a beautiful bridge! I like the little display in the forground that is under a cover of snow now but also the sky is nice, not the usual blue but rather a winter grey, very special. We have covered bridges in Switzerland (I saw Kath's comment), guess I wrote that before, but they have no paint. Maybe I should take a picture sooner or later and upload one, just to compare, would be fun. Wonder if someone takes my picture :))) I make the connection to the famous book and film ... LOL!!!! I loved the book as much. Best regards, Barbara.

Hey, Tom,
I love these old covered bridges. This is wonderful. Great light, marvelous detail and I love all the different lines and angles. I particularly like the diamond shaped pattern going across beneath the roof. You did an especially nice job with what looks like tough lighting conditions, too. Beautiful shot! Many thanks and warm regards,
Shelly

Hello Tom!
A very plesant point of view. I like the distribution of light and the sharp details as you usually present on your pictures. The rusted machinery is a great bonus you captured.
Best regards
Denis!

Tom,
This is a fine shot of this great red bridge. The angle of the shot is great giving the scene a nice sense of depth and direction. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The inclusion of the valves in the foreground was a good choice.

Asa
