Photographer’s Note

Still enjoying walking on the bike path in Stowe, the path takes you along many pretty areas. In this one spot there is a field of probably 10 acres between me and that stand of trees where on the other side where a line of farm houses. Very nicely nestled in amongst the mountains behind them. Lovely views they have out there windows!

Hello Donna -

A nice country scene. I am not sure I like all of the trees blocking so much of the farm but this is pleasant composition. It is well exposed, with great DOF, and sharpness.

Your bike ride gave you some wonderful photo opportunities. Your long lens enabled you to bring everything closer and provide an interesting composition with the trees shielding the buildings. As with your other shots I like the light dusting of snow.

Hi Donna,
it is a beautiful image, you have caught with good technique the ambient humid and cold of this gray and unpleasant day, with first snows of the autumn.
Good frame, the line of trees attracts our attention, but the farm that sees his behind is very pleasant, located next to hills and the forests.
The balance of the light is very good, and the smooth colors give quality to the photo.

Hi, Donna. I don't know Vermont, but this picture presents it as a country of fields and hilly forests. I like the way you've put all of these in one picture. The field in the foreground, the farm behind the row of trees and the forests in the background. This is even more beautiful with that little touch of snow. Very good light and contrasts.
